/ About Us
The Tile-Only Contractor Behind Central CT's Cleanest Lines
Dmtilellc started in New Britain with one trowel, one level and a rule: never leave a job we wouldn't sign. Ten years later, that rule still schedules our calendar — mostly through referrals from homeowners in Berlin, Farmington, Glastonbury and beyond.
Our Story
Built in New Britain. Trusted Across Central Connecticut.
We are a tile-focused trade company — not a general handyman service that "also does tile." That focus is why homeowners from New Britain, Berlin, Newington, Plainville, Farmington, Avon and beyond call us for the surfaces they look at every day: shower walls, kitchen backsplashes, entry floors and fireplace surrounds.
Our methods come from the European tiling tradition: bonded waterproofing before finish tile, substrate flatness measured before layout, and grout and silicone treated as engineered joints — not afterthoughts. It's why our work passes home inspections years later without a second look.
Today our crews run Mon–Fri: 8 AM – 5 PM , seven days a week, from our base at 550 Lincoln St, New Britain, CT 06052 . Most months we're booked two to three weeks out — almost entirely from referrals and repeat clients.

What We Stand For
Four Rules on Every Job
Craftsmanship First
Laser-level lines, calibrated joints, wet-sawed cuts. We measure our work in millimeters and our reputation in decades.
Honest Diagnoses
If a regrout won't fix it, we say so. If demolition is unnecessary, we say that too. Clients keep us because we tell the truth early.
Respect for Your Home
Zip-wall dust containment, floor protection, broom-clean evenings and a punch-list walkthrough before final payment.
Warranty in Writing
Every installation carries a 1-year workmanship warranty, on top of Schluter and Mapei system warranties where applicable.

Our shower was rebuilt with the Schluter system and tiled floor to ceiling. Laser straight lines, perfect grout, zero leaks — and the crew cleaned the bathroom every single evening. True professionals.
Monika S.
Homeowner, New Britain CT
We interviewed three companies for our backsplash and floor. Dmtilellc was the only one who talked about layout, transitions and substrate prep. The finished floor is dead flat and the backsplash is a work of art.

Shower Waterproofing & Tile Installation Done Right the First Time
A shower is a wet-room system, and the tile is only its finish layer. We build fully bonded waterproof showers using Schluter-KERDI membrane, prefabricated foam pans and curbs — or liquid-applied membranes where geometry calls for it. Every drain, seam, corner and penetration is detailed before the first tile is set.
Inside the system we correct slope to drain, plumb the walls and reinforce niches, benches and shampoo shelves so they are tiled, functional and leak-free. On the surface we set porcelain or ceramic with consistent joints and seal the movement transitions that grout alone can never survive.
The difference shows up years later: no moisture behind the walls, no swollen drywall on the other side, no musty smell — just a shower that still looks new and protects the structure around it.
What You Get
Schluter-KERDI bonded waterproofing systems
Prefabricated or mud-built pans with correct slope
Flood-tested before tile goes on
Tiled niches, benches & curb details

Frequently Asked Questions
Waterproofing Questions, Straight Answers
Why is waterproofing more important than the tile itself? + Tile and grout are not waterproof — they never have been. The membrane behind them is what keeps water out of your wall cavity. A beautiful tile job over a bad waterproofing system fails within a few years; a correct system lasts decades.
How long does a shower rebuild take? + A typical tub-to-shower conversion or full shower rebuild runs 4–6 working days: demolition and prep, waterproofing and flood test, then tile, grout and silicone. We keep the bathroom sealed and broom-clean every evening.
Can you convert my tub to a walk-in shower? + Yes — tub conversions are among our most requested projects. We rebuild the drain position, slope the pan correctly, waterproof the full wet area and tile it, adding glass, niches and benches to your plan.
Do you really flood-test every shower? + Every bonded system is plugged and flood-tested for 24 hours before tile. If a drop moves, we find it while it is still inexpensive to fix — not after your tile is on the wall.

Newington's mid-century stock — capes, ranches and the occasional brick colonial — is ideal for tub-to-shower conversions and kitchen floor replacements. We've tiled on almost every street between the Berlin line and Elmwood.

Tiling Homes in Plainville — What We See on Site
1950s–60s ranches, capes and split-levels along the Whiting Street corridor define the housing stock around Downtown Plainville , and each era of building asks for a different tile approach. Older homes in Plainville often carry uneven plaster walls and framing that moves with the seasons — we correct both with proper backer board and uncoupling before tile ever goes down.
Plainville's post-war ranches and capes were framed when 2x8 joists at 16 inches on center were common. Before any 12×24 porcelain goes down, we check floor deflection against the TCNA Handbook limit — L/360 of span for tile — and sister or block joists when a span fails.

Bath Remodel · Berlin
Berlin 's Local Bathroom Tile Remodeling Specialists
Berlin sits at the center of the state and at the center of our service map. From Kensington's historic village streets to new construction off Route 9, we handle a steady stream of bathroom remodels, shower conversions and first-floor tile projects here.
The Berlin Turnpike corridor brings commercial strip work, while Kensington's older village homes need careful period-appropriate tile. Route 9 access means we're here in minutes from our New Britain shop.
A bathroom remodel lives or dies on sequencing, and tile is the trade everything else waits on. We manage the tile side of your remodel end to end: demolition, substrate rebuild, waterproofing, setting, grouting and final seal — coordinated with your plumber and electrician so nobody is waiting on nobody.
We help you choose materials that work as hard as they look: porcelain on wet walls, slip-resistant finishes on bath floors, epoxy grout where cosmetics land, and feature tile that gives the room a focal point instead of a beige blur.
What You Get

Slip-resistant rated bath floor finishes
Feature walls, niches & accent design help
Zip-wall dust containment, daily cleanup
Punch-list walkthrough before final payment

Frequently Asked Questions
Bathroom Tile Remodeling in Berlin — Questions
How long does a full bathroom tile remodel take? + A standard 5x8 bathroom with a tub surround, floor and one vanity wall typically runs 6–9 working days including waterproofing cure times. Walk-in showers with benches and niches add time. We give you a written day-by-day schedule.
Do I need a designer first? + No. We bring layout sheets and physical samples to the estimate and help you settle pattern, grout color and accents on the spot. If your project needs an architect, we will tell you that too.
Can we keep using the bathroom during the remodel? + During demo and waterproofing, no — the wet area must stay sealed. We phase work so the vanity and toilet return to service as early as possible, and we never leave a house without a working toilet overnight.
Will a tiled remodel add value to my home? + Bathroom remodels consistently return among the highest percentages of cost at resale in Connecticut, and tile is the finish buyers expect in updated homes. Appraisers and inspectors also note properly waterproofed systems.

Bristol 's Local Bathroom Tile Remodeling Specialists
Bristol — home of ESPN — is a bigger, older market than most expect. Federal Hill colonials, Forestville mill-era houses and mid-century ranches keep our crews busy with bathroom rebuilds, shower waterproofing and kitchen tile that respects the original house.
Federal Hill's century-old framing and Forestville's mill-era houses pre-date modern joist tables. Stone floors get the L/720 deflection check, and pre-1950 bathrooms get mold-resistant backer and bonded waterproofing — no exceptions.

The three-deckers near downtown have plaster walls and joists that need deflection checks before large-format tile — a step many installers skip. We don't. Most NB estimates happen the same or next day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Bathroom Tile Remodeling in New Britain — Questions

Bath Remodel · Wethersfield
Wethersfield 's Local Bathroom Tile Remodeling Specialists
Old Wethersfield's Historic District — Connecticut's oldest town — includes some of the most character-rich houses we tile in, alongside mid-century neighborhoods off Route 9 that want crisp contemporary updates.
Old Wethersfield's Colonial-era antiques are some of the oldest homes we work in — plaster walls, uneven framing and period-appropriate expectations. The Silas Deane corridor's post-war stock is faster but still gets the same prep standards.

Avon 's Local Custom Tile Installation Specialists
Avon holds some of the finest housing stock in Hartford's suburbs — larger colonials and contemporary estates where clients ask for precision details: book-matched porcelain, zero-clearance linear drains, hidden niches and epoxy-clean grout lines.
Avon Mountain homes and Avon Village colonials expect precision: book-matched porcelain, epoxy grout, zero-clearance linear drains. The finish level here is the highest on our route — and we meet it.
Every home has at least one surface that deserves better than vinyl or paint. Our custom tile installation service covers everything from herringbone entryways and hexagon bathroom floors to floor-to-ceiling fireplace surrounds and accent walls. We begin with layout planning — centering, thresholds, transitions and grout-joint calibration — so the finished field looks intentional from every angle in the room.
We set ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass and mosaic tile over properly prepared substrates, including cement backer board, uncoupling membranes and self-leveling compounds wherever the surface demands it. Every cut is wet-sawed for clean edges at outlets, corners and fixtures, and lippage is controlled with leveling clips on large-format work.
What You Get
Layout planning & centering on every field
Porcelain, ceramic, stone, glass & mosaic
Laser-level lines and consistent grout joints
Clean wet-saw cuts at fixtures and corners
Proper substrates: backer board, uncoupling, leveling
1-year workmanship warranty on every install
The result is tile work that stays flat, stays bonded and stays beautiful — protected by our 1-year workmanship warranty and decades of material performance. If you can sketch it, we can usually tile it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom Tile Installation in Avon — Questions
Can you match an existing tile pattern in my home? + Yes. We regularly extend or repair existing fields — herringbone, running bond, stacked or diagonal — and can usually source close matches for discontinued tile so old and new work read as one continuous installation.
What tile sizes and materials do you work with? + Everything from 1-inch mosaic sheets to 48-inch large-format porcelain. Large format demands flatter substrates, different mortars and lippage control; we prepare surfaces to the tighter tolerance those products require.
How far in advance should I book my project? + Most projects are scheduled one to two weeks after the estimate is approved. Larger remodels are booked further out. We always confirm a start date in writing before any demolition begins.
Do you supply the tile, or do I choose it myself? + Either works. We install homeowner-purchased tile, or we source through local Connecticut tile rooms and suppliers where you can see full-size samples and slabs in person before deciding.

Farmington mixes 18th-century village homes with large newer colonials along Route 4 and beyond — and owners of both expect finish work that looks original to the house. Our Farmington projects lean toward custom showers, herringbone floors and full-height stone-look porcelain.
Farmington Village's 18th-century homes require period-appropriate approaches, while the newer Route 4 corridor builds need laser-verified flatness for large-format porcelain. We handle both ends of that spectrum weekly.

Floor Tile · Cromwell
Cromwell 's Local Floor Tile Installation Specialists
Cromwell's river-town neighborhoods give us a steady mix of kitchen backsplashes and bathroom updates, often as part of wider whole-house renovations along the Route 9 corridor.
Cromwell's Route 9 corridor position makes it a natural fit between our Berlin and Middletown routes. Split-levels and raised ranches need careful subfloor prep; newer builds let us move faster on large-format work.
A tile floor is only as good as what is under it. We measure flatness, correct deflection and install the right underlayment stack — cement backer board, uncoupling membrane like Schluter-DITRA, or self-leveler — before a single tile is laid. That is the difference between a floor that sounds hollow and one that feels like stone.
We set large-format porcelain, wood-look planks, hexagon and patterned encaustic tile with calibrated joints, and we plan transitions to hardwood, carpet and thresholds so every room hands off cleanly. Stagger, direction and grout color are agreed with you before setting begins.
What You Get
Flatness measured & corrected before setting
Schluter-DITRA uncoupling on susceptible slabs
Wood-look plank, hexagon, encaustic & large format
Clean transitions to hardwood & thresholds
Dust-controlled demo and preparation
Walkable within 24 hours of grouting

Can you tile over my existing floor? + Occasionally, over sound concrete or well-bonded tile with the right prep. Over wood framing we almost always recommend backer board or uncoupling so the floor does not crack with seasonal movement. We measure and tell you the truth either way.
Is wood-look porcelain better than real hardwood? + For kitchens, entries, baths and sunrooms — usually yes. It cannot swell, cup or scratch like wood, works over radiant heat, and today's rectified planks with tight grout joints look remarkably close to real oak or walnut.
How long until I can walk on my new tile floor? + Light foot traffic is fine after 24 hours; we recommend waiting 72 hours before heavy furniture and appliances. Exact times depend on the mortar and grout we specify for your floor.
Will a tile floor work with my radiant heat? + Tile is the best finish for radiant heat — it conducts and holds heat beautifully. We install over hydronic and electric mats with flexible mortars rated for thermal cycling.

Floor Tile Installation Done Right the First Time
A tile floor is only as good as what is under it.
Furniture is protected, work zones are sealed off from dust, and most floors are grouted and walkable within 24 hours.
What You Get
Flatness measured & corrected before setting
Schluter-DITRA uncoupling on susceptible slabs
Wood-look plank, hexagon, encaustic & large format
Clean transitions to hardwood & thresholds
Dust-controlled demo and preparation
Walkable within 24 hours of grouting

Middletown 's Local Floor Tile Installation Specialists
Middletown stretches from Wesleyan University's historic blocks down to the Connecticut River, and its mix — antiques, colonials, and the North End's multifamily stock — gives us the widest variety of tile work on the route.
From Wesleyan's historic blocks to the North End's multifamily stock, Middletown demands range. Antiques get period-appropriate layouts; rental units get durability-engineered selections. The Connecticut River corridor brings moisture considerations we plan for before setting.

New Britain 's Local Floor Tile Installation Specialists
New Britain is Dmtilellc's home base — the Hardware City where our shop and most of our repeat clients live. We work daily across its classic three-deckers, brick colonials and newer condo conversions, and estimates here are usually scheduled within 24 hours.
Our shop on Lincoln Street sits minutes from Walnut Hill, Little Poland's Broad Street corridor and CCSU. The three-deckers near downtown have plaster walls and joists that need deflection checks before large-format tile — a step many installers skip. We don't. Most NB estimates happen the same or next day.

Newington 's Local Floor Tile Installation Specialists
Newington's capes, ranches and colonials are perfect candidates for the upgrades we do most: walk-in shower conversions, kitchen backsplashes and first-floor porcelain. We have tiled in nearly every neighborhood between Elmwood and the New Britain line.
Newington's mid-century stock — capes, ranches and the occasional brick colonial — is ideal for tub-to-shower conversions and kitchen floor replacements. We've tiled on almost every street between the Berlin line and Elmwood.

Floor Tile · Plainville
Plainville 's Local Floor Tile Installation Specialists
Plainville is the smallest town on our route and one of the fastest to schedule — five minutes from our New Britain shop. Its ranches, capes and split-levels from the 1950s–60s get a steady mix of tub-to-shower conversions, kitchen backsplashes and entry tile built for New England winters.
Plainville's post-war ranches and capes were framed when 2x8 joists at 16 inches on center were common. Before any 12×24 porcelain goes down, we check floor deflection against the TCNA Handbook limit — L/360 of span for tile — and sister or block joists when a span fails.
A tile floor is only as good as what is under it. We measure flatness, correct deflection and install the right underlayment stack — cement backer board, uncoupling membrane like Schluter-DITRA, or self-leveler — before a single tile is laid. Backsplash · Avon
Avon 's Local Kitchen Backsplash Installation Specialists
Avon holds some of the finest housing stock in Hartford's suburbs — larger colonials and contemporary estates where clients ask for precision details: book-matched porcelain, zero-clearance linear drains, hidden niches and epoxy-clean grout lines.
Avon Mountain homes and Avon Village colonials expect precision: book-matched porcelain, epoxy grout, zero-clearance linear drains. The finish level here is the highest on our route — and we meet it.
A backsplash is small in square footage and huge in visual weight. We plan the layout so cuts land behind the range and inside cabinet lines, keep pattern courses level across walls that usually are not, and finish open ends with bullnose, Schluter profiles or clean caulked returns.
Subway, stacked, herringbone, zellige, hand-painted ceramic, full-height slab-look porcelain — we have set them all. We handle outlet cuts so cover plates sit flush, scribe neatly under cabinets, and seal the joint where tile meets countertop with color-matched silicone instead of crack-prone grout.
What You Get
Straight pattern lines on out-of-plumb walls
Clean cuts at outlets & under-cabinet scribes
Subway, herringbone, zellige, mosaic & more
Color-matched silicone at countertop joints
Protected work area, same-day cleanup
1–2 day typical installation
Most backsplashes are installed in one to two days with zero mess left behind — countertops protected, cabinets masked, and the kitchen usable the same evening.

Frequently Asked Questions
Kitchen Backsplash Installation in Avon — Questions
How long does a kitchen backsplash take? + Most standard kitchens are tiled in one day and grouted the next. Full-height or complex patterns (herringbone, zellige) can add a day. Your kitchen remains usable every evening.
Should the backsplash be installed after the countertops? + Yes. Tile should always meet finished countertops so the silicone joint lands correctly. If your counters are scheduled, we coordinate our date around them.
Can you tile over my existing backsplash? + Sometimes — if the existing layer is firmly bonded, flat and moisture-free. But in most cases removal gives a cleaner edge at cabinets and outlets. We tell you honestly which is right after looking at the wall.
Who chooses the tile and grout color? + You do, with our input. We bring physical samples to the estimate, advise on pattern scale for your wall size, and recommend grout colors that keep lines crisp without shouting.

Cromwell 's Local Kitchen Backsplash Installation Specialists
Cromwell's river-town neighborhoods give us a steady mix of kitchen backsplashes and bathroom updates, often as part of wider whole-house renovations along the Route 9 corridor.
Cromwell's Route 9 corridor position makes it a natural fit between our Berlin and Middletown routes. Split-levels and raised ranches need careful subfloor prep; newer builds let us move faster on large-format work.

Most backsplashes are installed in one to two days with zero mess left behind — countertops protected, cabinets masked, and the kitchen usable the same evening.
What You Get
Straight pattern lines on out-of-plumb walls
Clean cuts at outlets & under-cabinet scribes
Subway, herringbone, zellige, mosaic & more
Color-matched silicone at countertop joints
Protected work area, same-day cleanup
1–2 day typical installation

Frequently Asked Questions
Backsplash Questions, Straight Answers

Middletown 's Local Kitchen Backsplash Installation Specialists
Middletown stretches from Wesleyan University's historic blocks down to the Connecticut River, and its mix — antiques, colonials, and the North End's multifamily stock — gives us the widest variety of tile work on the route.
From Wesleyan's historic blocks to the North End's multifamily stock, Middletown demands range. Antiques get period-appropriate layouts; rental units get durability-engineered selections. The Connecticut River corridor brings moisture considerations we plan for before setting.

Avon 's Local Shower Tile Installation Specialists
Avon holds some of the finest housing stock in Hartford's suburbs — larger colonials and contemporary estates where clients ask for precision details: book-matched porcelain, zero-clearance linear drains, hidden niches and epoxy-clean grout lines.
Avon Mountain homes and Avon Village colonials expect precision: book-matched porcelain, epoxy grout, zero-clearance linear drains. The finish level here is the highest on our route — and we meet it.
A tiled shower is the one place in a home where craftsmanship gets judged by eye every single day. We put as much care into how the tile reads as into how it performs — laser-straight courses, joints held to one consistent width, cuts that land in the corners instead of mid-wall, and a pattern that is centered so it looks intentional rather than accidental.
A shower only looks right if what is underneath is right, so every job includes the prep good tile demands: flat, sound walls, bonded waterproofing behind the wet area, and niches, benches and curbs built to take tile cleanly. We set porcelain, ceramic, large-format and mosaic with leveling clips so the surface stays flat even on big tiles, then finish with color-matched grout and silicone at the joints that actually move.
What You Get
Laser-leveled, straight courses wall to wall
Precision setting with leveling clips on large-format tile
Tile niches, benches & curb details built to spec
Clean cuts at valves, fixtures & glass edges
Porcelain, ceramic, large-format & mosaic shower walls
1-year workmanship warranty on your install
You choose the look — classic subway, stacked large-format, a feature wall or floor-to-ceiling mosaic — and we handle the details that make it photograph well: clean edges at the glass, spot-on valve and outlet cutouts, and a shower that is ready to use as soon as the seal cures.

Frequently Asked Questions
Shower Tile Installation in Avon — Questions
How is a shower tile installation different from waterproofing alone? + Waterproofing keeps water out of the walls; the tile installation is what you see and use every day. A great shower needs both — we do them together so the finish sits on a system built for tile, with flat walls and clean, sealed joints.
How long does a full shower tile job take? + A tub-to-shower conversion or full shower rebuild is typically 4–6 working days from demo to final silicone, including waterproofing cure and flood-test time. We keep the bathroom sealed and broom-clean every evening.
Can you retile my shower without a full rebuild? + Yes. If your tub and plumbing stay, we can retile the surround and floor without tearing everything out — we replace only what needs replacing and lay out the new tile to match your space.
Do you build and tile the niche and bench too? + We build and tile niches, benches, shampoo shelves and curbs as part of the job — waterproofed and sloped so water runs to the drain instead of pooling in the corners.

Farmington 's Local Shower Tile Installation Specialists
Farmington mixes 18th-century village homes with large newer colonials along Route 4 and beyond — and owners of both expect finish work that looks original to the house. Our Farmington projects lean toward custom showers, herringbone floors and full-height stone-look porcelain.
Farmington Village's 18th-century homes require period-appropriate approaches, while the newer Route 4 corridor builds need laser-verified flatness for large-format porcelain. We handle both ends of that spectrum weekly.

Shower Tile Installation in Farmington — Questions

We don't. Bristol 's Local Shower Waterproofing & Tile Installation Specialists
What You Get
Schluter-KERDI bonded waterproofing systems
Prefabricated or mud-built pans with correct slope
Flood-tested before tile goes on
Tiled niches, benches & curb details
Mold-resistant backer throughout
Flood-tested waterproofing before tile goes on
The difference shows up years later: no moisture behind the walls, no swollen drywall on the other side, no musty smell — just a shower that still looks new and protects the structure around it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Shower Waterproofing & Tile Installation in Bristol — Questions

Tile Repair & Grout Work Done Right the First Time
Not every tile problem needs a remodel. We replace cracked or hollow-sounding tile, regrout tired fields, and rebuild the silicone joints at tubs, corners and fixtures where grout always cracks eventually. Color matching is done against your actual tile, not a guess.
When damage points to a substrate issue — a flexing floor, a leak behind a shower wall — we tell you honestly what a repair can and cannot fix, and we never sell a regrout over a problem that actually needs demolition.
Repairs are our smallest jobs and some of our most appreciated. Many become the first project that leads homeowners to trust us with a full remodel later.
What You Get
Cracked & hollow tile replaced seamlessly
Full regrouting with color-matched product
Recaulking at tubs, corners & fixtures
Honest diagnosis of substrate problems
Grout sealing for stain resistance
Small jobs welcomed — no job too small

Frequently Asked Questions
Repair & Grout Questions, Straight Answers
Is it worth regrouting instead of retiling? + When the tile itself is firmly bonded and you like the field, regrouting is a fraction of the cost and can make a 20-year floor look new. If tiles are loose or hollow, regrouting is money wasted — and we will say so.
Why does the grout keep cracking at my tub? + That joint moves every time the tub flexes under water weight. Grout cannot move; silicone can. We remove the failed grout and rebuild the joint with color-matched, mold-resistant silicone.
Can you match a discontinued tile for a repair? + We keep a network of local salvage and supplier contacts and can usually find a close match. Where an exact match is impossible, we design the repair as an intentional accent so it never looks like a patch.
Do you handle small one-day repair jobs? + Yes. Regrouting, recaulking and single-tile replacements are scheduled as half-day or full-day visits. We treat small jobs with the same preparation and cleanup standards as full remodels.

Farmington Village's 18th-century homes require period-appropriate approaches, while the newer Route 4 corridor builds need laser-verified flatness for large-format porcelain. We handle both ends of that spectrum weekly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Tile Repair & Grout Work in Farmington — Questions

Glastonbury 's Local Tile Repair & Grout Work Specialists
Glastonbury homeowners invest in their houses, and it shows: our projects here skew toward full primary-bath remodels, walk-in showers with benches and niches, and large-format floor tile across open first floors in South Glastonbury and the Center.
South Glastonbury's larger colonials and Hebron Avenue's newer builds are where our large-format and full-bath work concentrates. Homeowners here invest in their houses — and expect the finish level to match.
Not every tile problem needs a remodel. We replace cracked or hollow-sounding tile, regrout tired fields, and rebuild the silicone joints at tubs, corners and fixtures where grout always cracks eventually. Color matching is done against your actual tile, not a guess.

Middletown 's Local Tile Repair & Grout Work Specialists
Middletown stretches from Wesleyan University's historic blocks down to the Connecticut River, and its mix — antiques, colonials, and the North End's multifamily stock — gives us the widest variety of tile work on the route.
From Wesleyan's historic blocks to the North End's multifamily stock, Middletown demands range. Antiques get period-appropriate layouts; rental units get durability-engineered selections. The Connecticut River corridor brings moisture considerations we plan for before setting.
Not every tile problem needs a remodel. We replace cracked or hollow-sounding tile, regrout tired fields, and rebuild the silicone joints at tubs, corners and fixtures where grout always cracks eventually. Color matching is done against your actual tile, not a guess.

New Britain 's Local Tile Repair & Grout Work Specialists
New Britain is Dmtilellc's home base — the Hardware City where our shop and most of our repeat clients live. We work daily across its classic three-deckers, brick colonials and newer condo conversions, and estimates here are usually scheduled within 24 hours.
Our shop on Lincoln Street sits minutes from Walnut Hill, Little Poland's Broad Street corridor and CCSU. The three-deckers near downtown have plaster walls and joists that need deflection checks before large-format tile — a step many installers skip. We don't. Most NB estimates happen the same or next day.
Not every tile problem needs a remodel. We replace cracked or hollow-sounding tile, regrout tired fields, and rebuild the silicone joints at tubs, corners and fixtures where grout always cracks eventually. Color matching is done against your actual tile, not a guess.

Newington 's Local Tile Repair & Grout Work Specialists
Newington's capes, ranches and colonials are perfect candidates for the upgrades we do most: walk-in shower conversions, kitchen backsplashes and first-floor porcelain. We have tiled in nearly every neighborhood between Elmwood and the New Britain line.
Newington's mid-century stock — capes, ranches and the occasional brick colonial — is ideal for tub-to-shower conversions and kitchen floor replacements. We've tiled on almost every street between the Berlin line and Elmwood.
Not every tile problem needs a remodel. We replace cracked or hollow-sounding tile, regrout tired fields, and rebuild the silicone joints at tubs, corners and fixtures where grout always cracks eventually. Color matching is done against your actual tile, not a guess.
